<p>The concrete building block comprises a main rectangular portion from one end of which a smaller rectangular portion extends perpendicular to one side or the other to form an L-shape in plan. Insulation is positioned between the outwardly extending portions of the blocks and is then concealed by the erection of facing slabs. The outwardly extending portions of the blocks contain two cavities, the inner of which is filled with insulating material and the outer of which receives steel reinforcement and concrete to hold the assembly together.</p> |
