Governing weft carrier and sley movements, on shuttleless loom - with symmetrical mechanisms outside loom frame

Device for operating the weft carrier and the sley may be used to transform looms with shuttles into shuttleless looms, to modernise shuttleless looms, or to produce a new shuttleless loom. Two symmetrical mechanisms are used in combination, situated outside the loom frame, and are joined by the sley, and a connecting shaft, producing synchronism in their movements. Each of them operates a weft carrier driving wheel and a sley shaft, whose movement provides a dwell period for the passage of the weft carriers on a fixed level. The device enables the placement of symmetrical mechanisms outside the loom frame and in front of the sley shaft, in the direction of weaving. No internal adaptation of mechanisms is necessary, whatever the size of loom undergoing the change. The two mechanisms function in an oil bath, in a closed housing, for easy, fast running.
