The finger support comprises a steel plate which is shaped to correspond to the outline of the top half of the patient's hand. The plate has extending tongues (2) which are bent upwardly to fold over the back of the hand. Four tongues (3) extend from the top of the plate and lie along the underside of the patient's fingers. A larger tongue (4) supports the thumb. A ring may fit over one of the patient's fingers to hold the respective tongue in place.
