Osteosynthesis plate for lower end of femur - has curved main shaft with boss near lower end above pair of oppositely cambered apertured sections

The osteosynthesis plate has a curved diaphysary part (1) which has apertures for fixing screws formed along its length and a boss (5) formed on its outer surface near one end. The boss has a hole in its whose axis lies at an angle of between 42 and 48 degrees to the sagittal plane of the diaphysary part. The boss extends into a straight section (6) which has a central part cambered in one direction and a terminal part (14) cambered in the opposite direction. A pair of holes (15) having their axes at between 72 and 78 degrees to the sagittal plane are formed so as to diverge w.r.t. the axis of the hole in the boss.
