<p>The drive converter includes two drive shafts (F & G) having two racks (B,C) connected between them. The racks face each other but are offset from one another. The assembly is driven with a reciprocating motion. Two gears (D,E) are mounted on a driven shaft (A) so that one gear is in mesh with one rack. Each gear has a free wheel drive hub using ball bearings in a tapered housing. The free wheels operate in opposite senses. Thus the two racks drive the shaft (A) in the same direction.</p> |
