<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the vermin damage and degradation of beans, by sealing beans containing more than specific amount of water in an airtight container together with a disoxidation agent packed with a packaging material having specific gas permeability, and storing at a specific temper ture. CONSTITUTION:Beans having a water-content of >=16% are sealed in an airtight container together with a disoxidation agent packed with a breathable packaging material having a Gurley permeability of 200-100,000sec/100ml-air, and stored at <=15 deg.C. The disoxidation agent is a solid composition containing iron powder or other reducing substance as active component. Undried soybeans, adzuki beans, kidney beans, green peas, etc. can be preserved effectively.</p> |
