NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formulaI(X is H or salt ion). EXAMPLE:His-Arg-lLe-Ser-Asp-Arg-Asp-Tyr (SO3H) -Met-Gly-Trp-Met-Asp-Phe- NH2. USE:A compound having the cholecystokinin activity. PROCESS:A compound of formula II (Y1 is a protecting group of the amino group; Y2 is a protecting group of the carboxyl group or OH) is reacted with a complex of sulfur trioxide with pyridine to give a compound, which is then isolated as a bivalent metallic salt. The resultant salt is then subjected to the removal of the protecting groups. The resultant bivalent metallic salt of decapeptide amidosulfate ester is then reacted with a compound of formula III. The resultant product is further subjected to the removal of the protecting group and desalting to afford the compound of formulaI(X is H).
