PURPOSE:To make the printer highly reliable by combining an electronic printer with a writable semiconductor storage circuit as the format control storage mechanism and a battery as a reserve power supply source. CONSTITUTION:The device is composed of the electronic printer 1, a control unit 2, a CMOS-RAM memory circuit 3, an operation board 5, a supply source 5 and a storage cell 6. The drawing, showing the state of connection to the supply source, illustrates operations that the content of a format set by the operation console 4 is loaded on the printer 1 via the control unit 2 and stored in the CMOS-RAM memory circuit 3. The supply source 5 charges the storage battery 6 and further supplies power to each of other units. In the state of disconnection to the supply source, the supply of power to the CMOS-RAM memory circuit 3 is performed from the storage cell 6 at the point of time of the disconnection. |
