<p>PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of a shock, vibration, noise, etc. when fluid is reduced its pressure in a liquefied natutal gas (LNG) transfer piping, by arranging metallic wire nets in the downstream of a pressure reduction throttling mechanism. CONSTITUTION:Metallic wire nets 1 are transversely arranged fully in the internal section of a pipe 3 neighboring to the downstream side of an orifice 4. Quantity of overlapped sheets of said metallic wire nets 1 is selected from throttling ratio of the orifice, pressure of fluid, etc. As a result, such a pressure restoring part is not generated as in case of using a single orifice, then no cavitation is caused. Further section of a metal 2, constituting the net, is placed at a certain angle with respect to the flow direction of fluid, then larger resistance for the fluid is generated than with a welded metal net of wire in circular section, while a turbulent flow is easily caused.</p> |
