Moulded roof rack for vehicle - has front luggage chamber shaped as air deflector and with cut=outs forming lifting handles

The roof rack for a vehicle is made as a one-piece moulding carrying a protective rubber strip (3) around its perimeter and incorporates a recess (1) to accommodate a roof-mounted aerial. The rack has a front luggage chamber shaped as an air deflector which incorporates a lockable access cover opening vertically on moulded hinges. The rack is secured to the gutter of the car roof by four adjustable quick-release clips which can be locked in position. A flat portion positioned behind the front chamber contains two holes (2) for draining water and five cut-outs (5) which act as handles.
