PURPOSE:To obtain a simple debugging device with easy manufacture, by enabling all the debugging operation only with connection of an emulator interface to a socket for PROMs at a microcomputer side. CONSTITUTION:An emulator interface 7 converts a PROM area of a target machine 2 to an RAM area of a common bus 4 of a debugging device 1. A chip selection signal of a PROM is encoded and given to the device 1 and an upper- order address on the bus 4 is produced through an I/O port. Thus, the bus with the upper-order address is enable to be switched from a dual port 5 to an emulation memory 6. This memory 5 is accessed from both of a CPU3 and the bus 4 of the device 1, and the information relating to debugging between the device 1 and a target machine 2 can be exchanged. Thus, all the debugging operations can be made. |
