PURPOSE:To issue a label corresponding to many kinds of commodities, without the need for excessive key installation space, by storing a character corresponding to a key depressed for a prescribed time or more among alphabetical keys as a capital letter, in storing words to be printed by a computer. CONSTITUTION:A case 1 of a computer label printer is provided with a computer printer section, an alphabetical keyboard 7 in common use for various code setting, and a commodity printing switch 5. A word printed on the label of the label printer is coded with the keyboard 7 and stored in a computer with the selective operation of the alphabetical keys. In the storage in this way, a character corresponding to a key depressed for a prescribed time or more is stored as a capital letter. In the issue of a label, a key corresponding to the word to be printed among the setting keys is operated, the printed word is read out from the computer and given to the label printer, allowing to eliminate excessive key installation space for the achievement of various types of commodities. |
