NEW MATERIAL:The N-benzoyl-N'-pyridyloxyphenylurea compound of formulaI (X<1> is H or halogen; Y is halogen or methyl; X<2> and Z are halogen; R is lower alkyl; n is 1 or 2). EXAMPLE:N-( 2, 6-Difluorobenzoyl )-N'-[3-ethoxycarbonyl-4-( 3-chloro-5-trifluoromethyl-2-pyridyloxy)-5-chlorophenyl]urea. USE:Useful as vermicide, especially insecticide. Effective to control the breeding and growth of vermins belonging to Lepidoptera order, e.g. diamond back moth, cabbage armyworm, etc., Coleoptera order, e.g. 28-spotted lady beetle, etc. and Diptera order, e.g. housefly, etc. PROCESS:The compound of formulaIis prepared by reacting the benzoyl isocyanate compound of formula II with the pyridyloxyaniline compound of formula III in a solvent such as benzene at 0-120 deg.C.
