PURPOSE:To provide a titled composite roll which is capable of restraining a mutual sliding screw threaded parts on both the end parts of a mandrel and a sleeve, cut down deeply more than both the shrinkage fitting surface respectively, and interposing an intermediate body having screw threaded internal and external circumferential surfaces in a clearance between the threaded parts of the shaft and sleeve. CONSTITUTION:On both the left and right end parts of the internal circumferential surface of a sleeve 4, internal screw threads 5 having screw directions reverse to each other are cut down deeply more than the shrinkage fitting surface 6. On the other hand, on both the left and right end parts of the external circumferential surface of a core shaft 1, external screw threads 2 having screw directions reverse to each other are cut down deeply more than the shrinkage fitting surface 3. Further, on the internal and external circumferential surfaces of a ring-shaped intermediate body 7 interposed between the internal threads 5 of the sleeve 4 and the external threads 2 of the shaft 1, screw threads 8 and 9 engaging the external threads 2 and the internal threads 5 are provided respectively. The body 7 is screw-fitted to the external threads 2 of the shaft 1 in such a way as shrinkage fitting prior to the shrinkage fitting of the sleeve 4 to the shaft 1. After a result, a sleeve-type composite roll is obtained in low processing cost by eliminating the cutting-down work required till now. |
