PURPOSE:To enable to raise the coefficient of performance of an enclosed type electric compressor, by selecting the value of fit represented by the clearance between the inner diameter of a bearing section of a frame and the outer diameter of a turning shaft to lie within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:A compressor element 2 and a motor element 3 are coupled together by a turning shaft 4, which is fitted into a frame 6 having a bearing section 5 and a constitutes the body 7 of a motor driven compressor. Here, arrangement is such that the value of fit beta(beta=D-d) represented by the difference between the outer diameter d of the turning shaft 4 and the inner diameter D of the bearing section 5 of the frame 6 is selected to lie within the range of 40mu<=beta<=65mu. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to raise the coefficient of performance of the enclosed type motor driven compressor 1 by lowering the input while keeping the refrigerating capacity of the compressor 1 constant. |
