PURPOSE:To measure unbalance amount and direction of the center of gravity efficiently and simply, by a method wherein position on which the center of gravity of a measuring specimen should exist is supported with rocking by a ball bearing, and at least two points on two axial lines, which are passed through the position and perpendicular with each other, are supported by a weight detector. CONSTITUTION:Axial center of a disc 11 to be measured is supported with rocking by a ball bearing 13 fixed on a base 12. Load cells 16, 17 support weighting members 14, 15 which are temporarily attached to periphery of an article 11 on axial lines X, Y being passed through the axial center and perpendicular with each other. Detecting output of the load cells 16, 17 is passed through amplifiers 18, 19 and supplied to an arithmetic circuit 20. Weight unbalance amount of the article 11 and direction of the center of gravity are subjected to vector operation and displayed on an indicator 21.
