Flowmeter

The flowmeter has a pressure body which is displaced in the flow of the medium (liquid, gas, vapour) in the direction of the flow pressure counter to a restoring force and which triggers a measuring or switching signal as a function of its particular position. The pressure body is guided frictionlessly and, for this purpose, is composed of a retarding disc, which opens the flow cross-section according to the flow pressure of the medium, and of a shank, to which the retarding disc is fastened at right angles. For the axial frictionless guidance of the pressure body in the flow cavity, a plurality of embodiments, for example a suspension by means of parallel leaf springs, by pairs of annular magnets or by a lever construction, are provided. The pressure values and, if appropriate, temperature values of the flowing medium which prevail in the operating state can be determined and evaluated by means of respective devices.
