Process for the digital storage of transient high-speed analog signals for the purpose of subsequent analog and/or digital reproduction, involving first of all a quantisation with a relatively short bit word length by means of a corresponding analog/digital converter (3) and subsequently an intermediate storage in a digital memory (5) with cells of a greater bit word length, and subsequently interpolation of the memory values by means of a filter (8) and their re-storage in the same or different memory with a greater bit word length thereby achieved.
