PURPOSE:To correct the count value on a measuring side, to cut an ingot accurately to prescribed length and to improve the yield of the products by providing a pulse generator newly to a cutter provided with a pulse generator to a measuring roll. CONSTITUTION:A pulse generator PGN 16 is provided newly to a cutter 13, and when the cutter 13 clamps an ingot 14, the cutter 13 moves together with the ingot 4 and the moving distance of the cutter 13 is counted with the PGN 16. At the same time, the counting is also started with a pulse generator PGO6 on the measuring roll side as well. A coefft. alpha for the correction is operated from the count value of the PGN16 when the count value of the PGO6 attains the preset pulse number and the set count value of the PGO6 in accordance with the equationI. With the coefft alpha as a frequency dividing ratio, the count value of the PGO6 is corrected according to the frequency dividing ratio, and is fed to a corrected count value counter device, in accordance with which the ingot 4 is cut with the cutter 13. |
