<p>A slide fastener comprising a pair of tapes and respective rows of slide-fastener elements individually secured to the tapes. The slide-fastener elements are each bent over an edge of the tape and welded together thermally or ultrasonically. The arms of the fastener elements are formed along their lateral surfaces or sides with grooves of increasing depth toward the respective tape and weft yarns, interwoven with the warp of the tape, are provided along the edge and are disposed in the grooves to provide torsional stability for the individual coupling elements.</p> |
