PURPOSE:To disturbe the easy discrimination of the pickup direction, by distributing a pickup part so as to cross the pickup optical axis with the pickup direction and setting a mirror at the intersection point. CONSTITUTION:A monitor camera 1 attached at a recess 5 of a ceiling 2, etc. has a shell 6 containing a cylindrical viewing window 7 with its both axes parts 6a and 6b supported rotatably. The shell 6 stores an image pickup tube 16 for color TV, a mirror 17, a driving motor 18, etc. The tube 16 contains a lens 19 incorporating an automatic stop-down mechanism which is put into the window 7, and is fixed to the inner wall of the shell so that the pickup optical axis A becomes parallel (coincident) to the axial line of the shell 6. The flat plate type mirror 17 is set with about 45 deg. inclination to the pickup optical axis within the window 7. Thus the pickup direction B crosses orthogonally to the axis A. The motor 18 turns the shell 6 to vary the direction B. |
