MANUFACTURE OF COIL BY CASTING

摘要

PURPOSE:To prevent the inside corners of a coil main body from growing thick by a method wherein a coil is formed in an edge-wise shape and resin is injected to form the coil into a single solid piece after some pieces of insulating material are bonded to and between opposing conductive element surfaces to allow a prescribed percentage of each of the conductive element surfaces to be exposed. CONSTITUTION:The both ends of conductive elements 1a and 1b of prescribed length are welded together to form a coil main body of an edge-wise shape and insulating material 2 are inserted between and bonded to the opposing surfaces of the coil main body composing conductive elements. The assembly is then placed in a metal mold and resin 3 same as the insulating material 2 in chemical composition is injected into the mold and then hardened by heating. Prescribed percentage of coil main body surfaces exposed prior to casting and therefore provided with some opening between the conductive elements, injected resin 3 reaches every part of the coil main body. Accordingly, a void cannot exist when the injection is completed.
