PURPOSE:To obtain the titled starch which has excellent solubility and dispersability, can be dispersed without leaving undissolved lumps and can be handled without scattering, by adding a glue solution to potato starch. CONSTITUTION:Moistened potato starch having a water-content of about 35- 50% is prepared by adding water to potato starch and mixing to make an almost homogeneous mixture. Separately, a glue solution having a concentration of about 3-5% is prepared by adding a large amount of water to potato starch, and gelatinizing the mixture by heating for several minutes under stirring until the liquid temperature reaches about 80 deg.C. The glue solution is used as a binder and sprayed to the moistened potato starch in an amount of about 1-6% of the starch, and mixed to obtain an almost homogeneous mixture. The mixture is charged to an extrusion granulator, compressed with a screw, and extruded through a screen to obtain the granules. |
