发明名称 HEAT MELT-STICKING DEVICE OF OPTICAL FIBER
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a heat melt-sticking device of optical fiber which has small and inexpensive constitution with high reliability, by matching the optical fibers with each other which are clamped to the V grooves of a pair of sliding boards and setting these optical fibers back to the original hitting position with heating and after moving back the optical fibers via a piezoelectric element to melt-stick the optical fibers together. CONSTITUTION:The exposed parts of a pair of optical fibers to be adhered together are put into the V groove 4 on a fixing stand 7 and pressed to the groove 4 by a lever 8. Then the optical fibers are clamped to a sliding board 11. The board 11 is shifted via a lever 16 and by rotating a micrometer head 17, and the end faces of the optical fibers are matched with each other at a position right above a heater to be confirmed by a loupe 19. The voltage is applied to a piezoelectric element 18 to decrease the thickness of the element 18, and the board 11 is moved back against a spring 23 to produce a gap between the optical fibers. The optical fibers are heated for a prescribed period of time via a switch 22 and a timer, and then the voltage of the element 18 is eliminated. Then the optical fibers are matched again with each other to be fused together. In such a way, a heat melt-sticking device of optical fiber is obtained with a small and inexpensive constitution with high reliability.
