PURPOSE:To facilitate a handling of the cooking unit by a method wherein a scrolling function is provided for moving characters indicating some cooking menues at a proper speed. CONSTITUTION:In a cooking condition display device provided with an input part 2 composed of at least a cooking menue selection key and a function selection key and with a character display part 1 for displaying the cooking menue or a cooking condition, a control circuit having a function in which a displaying of the characters in the character display part 1 is scrolled is provided. That is, a method of scrolling the display characters is performed such that a signal from the oscillator 6 is fed to the terminal T1 of the micro computer 5, the number of clocks is counted in RAM to make a reference timer and this is set as a speed of scrolling. When the speed of scrolling is to be varied, a volume 4 of the oscillator 6 is adjusted and the frequency of oscillation is varied, thereby the varied scrolling speed can be obtained. And it is possible to terminate the scrolling operation by terminating a counting operation from the oscillator 6 without setting the reference timer. |
