PURPOSE:To obtain a recording paper excellent in the light resistance and the water resistance while enabling the formation of a black image with a single color developing agent by employing a specified fluorane derivative as electron donating color developing agent for a pressure-sensitive or heat-sensitive recording paper. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive or pressure-sensitive recording paper is manufactured employing as an electron donating color developing agent a fluorane derivative as given by the formula (where, R<1> and R<2> represent an alkyl group with the number of carbon of 1-100, a cycloalkyl group, an alkoxy alkyl group, or phenyl alkyl group, where R<1> and R<2> may from a combination of -(CH2)P- and the like. P is 4 or 5. At least one of X<1> and X<2> presents halogen and the other hydrogen. R<3> and R<6> represents an alkyl group with the number of carbons of 1-6, a cyclohexyl group, a benzyl group and the like or -(CH2)4- group combining together. R<5> and R<6> present an alkyl group with the number of carbons of 1-10, an alkenyl group, a phenyl alkyl group and the like. The ring A represents a benzene ring, a naphthalene ring and the like. Z represents hydrogen, an alkyl group with the number of carbons of 1-4 or halogen, m is 1-4 by a conventional method. |
