PURPOSE:To minimize the dispersion of vibration frequency by providing a concave on both surfaces in the middle of an AT cut crystal oscillator piece, fixing the oscillator piece by means of this concave, and finishing the beveled portion with a full-type grind stone. CONSTITUTION:An AT cut crystal oscillator piece 7 is provided with a concave 8 for work-positioning on both side of its middle portion. The crystal oscillator piece 7 is fastened between a work spindle 9 and a tail stock 10 for a machine tool such as a cylindrical grinding machine. A beveled portion is finished with a full-type grinding wheel 11 which is bevel-shaped. A highly accurate bevel work obtained in this manner can offer a high quality of crystal oscillator which reduces dispersion of vibration frequency. |
