PURPOSE:To make the measurement of sizes in arbitrary places possible in noncontact in measurement of sectional sizes by shielding the beam between a light source and a photodetector with an object to be measured. CONSTITUTION:An object 11 to be measured is placed between a light source 4 and a photodetector 5 so that the part to be detected shields a beam 9. The width of the beam 9 is made larger than the width of the part to be detected of said object. The light source and the photodetector are fixed to a U-shaped turning frame 1. The turning frame is mounted to a revolving shaft 3, and is turned by a driving device 6. While the part shielded by the object is observed with a display device, the turning frame is turned, whereby the sectional size is known. |
