PURPOSE:To smooth the return operation from compressed state to extended state by a structure wherein a disc valve, which actuates so as to increase the gap between an oil lock collar and a lock piece when the compressed state turns back to the extended state in the captioned device used suitably for motorcycle. CONSTITUTION:The device is to exert the oil lock state at the most compressed state by providing the oil lock piece 3 at the bottom of the outer tube 1 of the hydraulic shock absorber and the oil lock collar 4 at the tip of the inner tube 2. The annular disc valve 6 is arranged so as to provide a comparatively small gap 5 between the lower side of said collar 4 and the piece 3. The valve 6 is pinched between the collar 4 and the inner tube 2, the bent tip of which is calked so as to hold the lower surface of the valve 6 at its outer periphery. The upward opening operation of the valve 6 is checked by the collar 4, but its downward opening operation to increase the gap 5 is allowed. Owing to the structure as mentioned above, the collar 4 can easily slip out of the piece 3 at the return from the return from the most compressed state to the extended state in the device. |
