PURPOSE:To facilitate extension, etc., by equipping a data terminal and a telephone terminal together by detecting and storing voice information from a telephone terminal as packets successively according to arrival, and by selectively sending the stored packets to a trailing circuit. CONSTITUTION:Voice information from a telephone terminal 21 is converted into packets by the voice packet switching part 10 of a voice packet branching and inserting device 1, and the packets from a data terminal 2n are stored, as they are, in corresponding packet storage parts 31-3n according to arrival. The number of the packets stored in those storage parts 31-3n is monitored by a control part 4, and according to the storage state, the output packets are judged on preset priority basis to send indications to the storage parts 31-3n and a selection part 5. Then, the packets outputted from the storage parts 31-3n according to arrival are selected by the selection part and send to a packet switching network. The packets from the switchig network are branched in the selection part 5 and converted into voice information upon occasion, thereby transmitting it to terminals 21-2n simultaneously. |
