PURPOSE:To exactly scanning a signal track recorded on a recording medium, by recording a scanning start signal in advance on the recording medium, detecting that a luminous point has caught the scanning start signal, by a photodetector, and scanning the luminous point. CONSTITUTION:On an optical magnetic recording tape 6 of a recording medium, a recording track 7 is formed, and on a part of its track 7, a scanning start signal 8 is formed. The optical magnetic recording tape 6 runs in front of a luminous point scanning element 1, the optical magnetic tape 6 moves, and when a light beam emitted from the luminous point scanning element 1 has come on the scanning start signal 8, the scanning start signal is detected by an optical detector 10, and a signal shown in the figure is outputed. Subsequently, such a lamp waveform is applied to an oscillator 17, a light beam from a semiconductor laser 2 is deflected and scans on the recording track 7. According to such a method, tracking in case when a signal is reproduced by scanning a luminous point is executed exactly. |
