PURPOSE:To decrease wear in a drive section, by providing a device that a consecutive cylinder address designated with a processor is converted into a discontinuous cylinder address to a series of cylinders on a magnetic disc of a disc drive device. CONSTITUTION:Address information transmitted from a processor enters a control device, and a selector address of addresses of the information is delivered to a magnetic disc drive device 3 via a register 11. In this case, a cylinder address converting section 17 is provided between the register 11 and a register 12. The amount of movement of a head positioning mechanism of the disc drive device 3 is increased by repeating the access operation to the cylinder to be closed addressingly, allowing to reduce a small shaking movement of bearings of the head positioning mechanism so that fretting wear of bearings can hardly take plate. |
