PURPOSE:To make the work simply by one motion by clamping a tube with a tube or a tube with a joint to be joined and making joining work moving the dies near to each other relatively. CONSTITUTION:Tapered inner side of clamp dies 20 is put on the tapered part of a joint, and a hydraulic pushing ram is extended. A pushing arm 7 advances and a pin 6 rotates the jaw part 1 around an axial pin 4. Then, clamp dies 20 and compression dies 23 are brought close to each other and hold the joining part of the tubes. When the hydraulic ram 27 is further extended, the pushing arm 7 advances along a long hole 5 through the pin 6, and pushes an outside slanted face 12 with the slanted face of a cam pushing plate 9. In this way, an angular ring of the cam is slid on the inner side of the jaw part 1 and presses slanted faces 18, 19 of clamp dies 20 and slanted faces 21, 22 of compression dies 23, and brings both dies 20, 23 close to the axial direction of the tubes to be joined. Consequently, the tip of joined part of the joint is pushed to inside of the tapered part of the compression dies 23 which became annular by close contact. Thus, joining work is completed. |
