摘要 PURPOSE:To manufacture terminals for dot printer of light weight and stable quality by covering a wire made of wear resistive material with a pipe of light specific gravity with a specified length of wire from one end left uncovered and fixing the pipe to the wire by using a solder. CONSTITUTION:A thin wire 15 made of a wear resistive material, such as a super hard alloy, etc., having a diameter of 0.2-0.25mm. is used as a core wire and this is covered with a pipe 16 made of a material of which specific gravity is lighter than that of the core wire material and of which Young's modulus is relatively high, such as stainless steel, etc. At this time, the pipe 16 should have an inner diameter (about 0.3-0.35mm.) that would conform to the thin wire 15 and it should cover the thin wire so that a proper length of the thin wire 15 necessary as a terminal of a printer is protruded and left uncovered. The intended terminal for dot printer can be obtained by applying solder 17 to the front end of the pipe 16 and fixing the pipe 16 to the thin wire 15. By this method, the necessity for the steps of thin wire processing and taper processing has been eliminated and the mass production of terminals becomes possible.
