PURPOSE:To enable to perform an easy correction of inclination of an object to be measured, by a method wherein, in a measuring device for inner and outer diameters of the object to be measured, a detecting head is made inclinable. CONSTITUTION:An object 6 to be measured is supported by a centripetal vanes 5 at a ring-shaped jig 4 secured to a table 2 movable in an A-direction. An inclining member 10 is attached to an elevating member 8, moving in a B-direction, so that it can tilt centering around a tilt center axis 11. A detecting head 13 is provided with two probes 14 which can move in a C-direction by means of a drive mechanism 17, and the head itself is fastened to an tilting member. The probes are moved until contacts 15 make contact with an inner and an outer diameters of an object to be measured, and then, an inclining knob 25 is inversed in a D-direction to tilt the tilting member. When the probes are located in a position showing a minimum length through the inclination of the member from side to side, it indicates that the probes are positioned in parallel to the inclination of the inner and the outer diameter. |
