PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized strong press for pressing or cutting by converting rotation of a cam driven by a prime mover into rocking motion of a rocking lever, and connecting dies to the tip of the oscillating lever and the tip of a fixed lever. CONSTITUTION:A pinion 3 rotated by a prime mover 1 such as an electric motor, an air motor, a hydraulic motor etc. through a reduction gear 2 transmits the turning force to a cam 4' which is coaxial and in a body with this through a power gear 4. Following rocking motion of the rotating cam 4' from the bottom dead center to the top dead center, a rocking lever 5 axially connected to a fixed lever 7 fixed to the prime mover case 8 by a fulcrum shaft makes seesaw movement around the shaft 6. With this movement, pressure welding dies 12 connected to said lever 5 and fixed lever 7 through axes 9, 9' are operated to give rise to biting pressing action. |
