<p>The shredder consists of a collecting casing for the shredded material and a shredding machine mounted on top of the casing. The collecting casing (1) has a folding-down front door (3) with a frame fitted inside the door leaf, carrying a collecting bag (6). A catch (15) allows the door to be opened just sufficiently for the access and/or removal of the bag (6). To provide a fire barrier between the shredded material entry (1b) and the collecting space, the entry is provided with a trap door (25) which opens under the weight of the shredded material produced, but remains tightly closed when the shredder is not in operation. The operation of the trap door could be controlled electrically with a limit switch.</p> |
