PURPOSE:To correct distortion of a strip easily with a simple structure by making the work roll of the last stage movable and providing a fixed deflector roll having larger diameter than the work roll in the upstream side or downstream side of the work roll. CONSTITUTION:A band steel 1 is passed through work rolls 2, 3, 4, 5 in a wavelike form in the direction of the arrow B while applying tension in the direction of arrows A, A'. A large-diameter deflector roll C is fixed in the upstream side of the last stage work roll 5, and only the last stage work roll 5 is made movable. While passing through work rolls 2, 3, 4, 5, the band steel 1 is bent in an alternate direction, and longitudinal and transverse distorsion is corrected. Longitudinal distrosion finally remained is removed easily by moving the last stage work roll 5. |
