PURPOSE:To obtain sand molds of uniform hardness free from any defect easily by providing nozzles for force feeding of compressed air on the top, bottom or side faces of a molding flask other than blow ports for force feeding of sand by means of the compressed air. CONSTITUTION:A mold 10 of a desired shape is mounted in upper and lower molding flasks 12, 13 by way of a match plate 11, and a sand and compressed air supply pipe 15 is connected to the blow port 14 on one side face of the flask 12. Vent holes 16 are fitted into the through-holes 16' provided on the side faces or top face plate of the flask 12 respectively, and nozzles 18 are fitted in tight contact with the inside of the through-holes 17 provided on the rear side with respect to the port 14 or in the places where the sand is difficult to flow in. Compressed air supply pipes 19 are connected to these nozzles. The flask 13, too, is provided with nozzles 25 similar to the nozzles 18 other than a sand blow port 20, which nozzles are connected to compressed air supply pipes 26. Then, the straightforward flow passages of the sand by the compressed air from the ports 14, 20 are directed to the rear sides of the ports 14, 20, or the corners or holes or the places where the sand is difficult to flow in by the compressed air from the nozzles 18, 25, whereby the perfect sand mold is molded instantaneously. |
