PURPOSE:To carry out the detection of pressure leakage rapidly and certainly by a method wherein the leaked part of a hot pressure medium is caught in a seal part interposed between the member to be raised and lowered of a centering mechanism carrying out upward and downward expansion and contraction motion of an elastic formed body and hot pressure medium supply and a fixing member opposedly contacted therewith to be detected by a detecting member provided to the outside of the centering mechainsm. CONSTITUTION:In the space between packing press member 13 over an upper and a lower sides of a clamp ring hub 17 and a bushing 27, an upper packing 14 and a lower packing 16 comprising a V packing are interposed between the hub 17 and the outer periphery of a piston rod 10 in an appropriate multi- layered form through a male adaptor 28 and a female adaptor 29 and a collecting and discharging member 15 comprising a lantern ring is provided so as to be fitted to the upper and the lower packings 14, 16.
