PURPOSE:To make the spiral twisting quantity of a welding wire constant irrespectively of wire speeds and to make the width of beads constant by making the number of revolutions of a straightening mechanism for the welding wire proportional to the feed speeds of the welding wire. CONSTITUTION:A wire 1 for welding fed to a welding torch 4 generates the arc between the works 6. At this time,the wire 1 is fed with a driving roller 3a; at the same time, a DC motor 15 is driven to turn a rotating body 11 in a fixed direction with bevel gears 12b, 12a. While displacements are given to the wire 1 with a deforming roller 10, twists are given thereto wuth the body 11, by which spiral bending habits are given to the wire. At this time, the number of revolutions of the DC motor 15 is made proportional to the wire feed speeds by a wire feed motor 2. The deformation quantity of the wire is made constant irrespectively of the wire feed speeds. |
