PURPOSE:To improve the combustion efficiency of the titled device provided with a gun type burner by a method wherein a means for adjusting a gap between a nozzle and an orifice plate and a means for adjusting the quantity of air supplied from a combustion air blower are controled by a fuel supply pressure. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle 1 provided with an injection hole 2 in the front portion thereof houses therein a swing section having a spiral groove 4 on the outer periphery thereof and the orifice plate 7 having an orifice 7' defining a return chamber 6 therein is provided on the outer periphery of the nozzle 1. In this case, the orifice 7 is made movable so that the space l between the orifice 7' and the injection hole 2 of the nozzle 1 may be varied. Further, the movement of the orifice plate 7 is effected by a cylinder 10 through a piston rod 13 and in this case, the opening degree of a damper 16 within an air duct is adjusted at the same time. The piston 11 within the cylinder 10 is operated by the pressure of the fuel supplied from a fuel pressure pump 8. |
