The loading aid for hand guns is intended for use in the case of cartridges (2) having a rim (5) and has, in a thin-walled cartridge carrier (1), cartridge holders (4), which are arranged in a row with respect to one another, each surround a cartridge (2) in the region of the cartridge base over a part of its circumference, and are constructed as a bracket which can be spread apart in a sprung manner, encloses the cartridge rim (5) over an angle of more than 180 DEG , is at most of equal thickness to the axial height of the cartridge rim (5) and, on its inside, has a groove which is continuous in the circumferential direction and into which the cartridge rim (5) can latch. The cartridge holders (4) have in each case at least one bracket limb (7) which is cut free from the thin-walled cartridge carrier (1) and springs on radially as a result of the intrinsic elasticity of the material. <IMAGE>
