In a solar collector, pipes, which are provided for conducting a heat-transmitting fluid, are provided with ribs which are designed for reflection of the solar radiation and arranged parallel to one another and aligned perpendicularly to the pipe axes. The intermediate spaces between these ribs have a cross-section which narrows from a front plate, which is permeable for the solar radiation, towards a rear plate provided with an insulating material and which is produced by a bent shape, in the same direction in all ribs, of the edge regions of the ribs close to the rear plate. The energy of the solar radiation as a result undergoes collection at the narrowest cross-section of the intermediate spaces between the ribs, as a result of which the solar radiation can be better used for heating the fluid irespectively of the direction of incidence.
