<p>PURPOSE:To control feed speeds for respective stands automatically and adequately in tandem cold mills by performing the setting of speed standards in accordance with the gnawing and passing-through of rolling material by means of speed standard commands and tracking control data. CONSTITUTION:In the stage of rolling a rolling material successively with mill stands consisting of plural stands, the gnawing and passing-through of the rolling material are stored as the stand passing timings of the rolling material in respective stand units by means of a tracking circuit memory group. At the same time, plural speed settings are accomplished with speed standard selection circuits in correspondence to the output commands from the tracking circuit memory group, and the internal data of the tracking circuit memory group and the respective speed standard selection circuits are corrected scucessively with the conrol data by work tracking flow charts, whereby the feed speeds of the rolling material in the respective rolling stands are automatically and adequately controlled and the speeds of the succeeding rolling material with respect to the preceding rolling material are optimized.</p> |
