<p>The appts. is used to stimulate the acupuncture points and to treat by stimulating skin zones. A quartz piezoelectric device is used as an electricity generator and the head (3) of the appts. is interchangeable so that various types of electrodes (4), linear, small surface or point, can be used. The head (3) and electrode (4) are designed so that the distance between the electrode (4) and the skin is approximately 3mm. The skin receives numerous sparks at approximately 3000 volts at 0.05 mA when the lever (2) is pressed and up to 0.1 mA when the lever (2) is released. The appts. can have a switch (6) to preferentially apply a positive or negative electrical stimulation and another switch (5) to reduce the current. An inverter circuit is provided to allow either positive or negative stimulation to be obtained.</p> |
