PURPOSE:To improve head abrasion, head contaimination or sticking, by incorporating fine urea-formalin resin powder in the surface layer of a heat-sensitive recording layer in contact with a thermal heat. CONSTITUTION:In constituting a heat-sensitive recording material by providing a heat-sensitive recording layer containing a diazo compound (e.g. a compound shown by the formula) and a coupler (e.g. phenol or resorcinol) on a support, a specially selected fine urea-formalin resin powder is incorporated in the surface layer of the heat-sensitive recording layer in contact with a thermal head to form the objective heat-sensitive diazo recording material. As the fine urea- formalin resin powder, the one having an average particle size of about 0.01- 10mu and an oil absorption of about 100-500ml/100g is preferred and its amount is pref. about 0.1-5pts.wt. to 1pt.wt. diazo compound. |
