The open fire has its exhaust gases conducted through ducts so that, irrespective of the duct damper (1) position, it provides access to the inner part of the fire insert. Using the damper, an exhaust gas duct is provided from the grate running backwards and upwards with at least two apertures. One aperture is closable by the damper and leads directly upwards to a chimney pipe (10), and the other leads in an extension part of the smoke path, comprising partly separator walls orientated towards the grate and partly similar walls facing towards the room air duct. |
