An intake regulator for an IC engine has the air-fuel mixt. distributed to the cylinders through an intake manifold disposed beneath a carburettor(2). Air is passed through an intake passage(3) and fuel is injected into this passage through a main nozzle(5) provided in the civinity of venturi(4) of the carburettor. The fuel can also be supplied through a slow fuel port made in the intake pipe near a throttle valve(6) and the exhaust gases are supplied to the intake manifold(1) by an E.G.R. passage(7). Three recirculated exhaust gas control valves (14,15,16) are actuated by differential press. responsive devices(31), comprising diaphragm(29) and spring(32), to open and close the passage(7).
