PURPOSE:To prevent toner from cohering atop of a blade in a toner image transfer type copying machine, etc., by providing a rotary brush and the blade which oscillates when press contacting is released to meet the rotary brush in the rotation direction of a photosensitive drum. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning device L is provided opposite the surface of a photosensitive drum 2 rotates as shown by an arrow (a) during cleaning operation, thereby removing residual toner T and large dust P, such as paper powder, sticking to the drum 2 after toner image transfer. In the housing 1 of the device L, a rotary brush 3 and a blade 4 are provided in the rotation direction of the drum 2. The brush 3 is rotated to clean the surface of the drum 2 in front of the blade 4. The blade 4 is clipped by a blade clipping metal fitting 11 and supported on a blade supporting base 6 in an oscillatory state. The supporting base 6 is provided to the housing 1 in an oscillatory state, and the tip of the blade 4 is pressed against the drum 2 by a spring 9 and then brought into contact with the brush 3 by its own weight during the operation of an oscillatory lever 8. |
